Live acoustic guitar for every moment of your ceremony, from your guests arriving to the moment you walk back down the aisle as a married couple.
Of all the moments in a wedding day, the ceremony is the one most couples say they want to get exactly right. It's the moment everything has been leading to, and the music you choose for it will stay with you for the rest of your life.
As a wedding ceremony guitarist based in Worcestershire, I've played for hundreds of couples walking down the aisle, signing the register, and leaving as husband and wife. I know how much those moments matter, and I take the music for each one seriously.
Whether you want a particular song you've always loved, something that means something specific to the two of you, or simply warm, beautiful acoustic music that fits the mood, I'll make sure it's right. I'll learn songs specially if needed, and I always invite couples to come and sit down with me before the day to go through everything properly.
"He took time to make the most of the song for the bride's entrance, that was magical."— Kayleigh Tipper
A wedding ceremony typically has four distinct musical moments. I cover all of them, each one chosen and prepared with care so that the music feels right for what's happening, not just playing in the background.
As your guests take their seats before the ceremony begins, I play softly in the background, setting a warm, calm atmosphere and signalling that something special is about to happen.
The most important song of the day. I'll play you, or your bride, down the aisle with exactly the song you've chosen, timed and arranged to fit the length of your walk perfectly.
A quieter moment in the ceremony that benefits from gentle, unhurried music. I'll play something fitting while you sign, keeping the atmosphere calm and the room comfortable.
As you leave together as a married couple, the music should feel celebratory and joyful. I'll play something uplifting that sends you out to your guests in exactly the right spirit.
Choosing songs for your ceremony is one of the things couples find hardest, and one of the things I enjoy helping with most. There's no right or wrong answer, but there are some practical things worth knowing before you decide.
I have an extensive set list covering everything from classic Beatles and Elton John through to modern artists like Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and beyond. If a song is already on my list, it's ready to go. If it's not, I'll learn it, and I do this for most of the weddings I play.
One thing I always discuss with couples is how a song translates to acoustic guitar, and whether it suits the moment. Some songs take a while to reach the part people recognise, which can be an issue if your aisle walk is short. I'll always be honest about what works and what might need adjusting, and I can adapt arrangements to make sure the song lands at exactly the right moment.
I always invite couples to come over before the wedding so we can sit down together, listen through the options, and settle on something that feels genuinely right, not just chosen from a list.
Once you've booked, we'll stay in touch as your wedding approaches. When the time is right, I'll invite you over to go through everything in person. We'll listen to song ideas, talk through the order of the ceremony, and make sure you leave feeling completely settled about the music.
On the day itself, I arrive around an hour and a half before the ceremony starts. I set up quietly, check the sound levels, and make sure everything is ready well before your first guests arrive. I'm used to working alongside registrars, celebrants, and venue coordinators, I know when to play, when to hold, and how to follow the natural rhythm of a ceremony without needing to be directed.
You won't need to think about the music on your wedding day. That part is taken care of.
I'm based in Worcestershire and available for wedding ceremonies across the West Midlands and surrounding counties. I regularly play at venues in Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Shropshire, as well as across Birmingham and Solihull.
I know many of the region's most popular venues personally, their layouts, acoustics, and the registrars and coordinators who work there. That familiarity means the ceremony runs smoothly and the music is always in the right place at the right time.
Including Curradine Barns, Crumplebury, Hogarths Stone Manor, Grafton Manor, Nailcote Hall, Arley House & Gardens, Gorcott Hall, Blackwell Grange, Clearwell Castle and Ettington Park Hotel, as well as many others across the region. Don't see your venue? Chances are I've played nearby. Get in touch and I'll confirm.
