1. Booking and deposit
A booking is confirmed once a deposit of £100 has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued. Until a deposit is paid, no date is held or guaranteed. The deposit is non-refundable except where Stuart Toogood is unable to fulfil the booking due to his own illness or emergency.
2. Payment
The balance of the agreed fee is due no later than 14 days before the event date. Payment may be made by bank transfer. Details will be provided on the invoice. No performance will take place where the balance remains outstanding at the time of the event.
3. Cancellation by the client
If you cancel your booking, the following applies:
- More than 6 months before the event: deposit only is forfeited.
- Between 3 and 6 months before the event: 50% of the total fee is due.
- Less than 3 months before the event: 100% of the total fee is due.
These terms exist because late cancellations prevent the date being filled. Stuart will always endeavour to be fair and reasonable in exceptional circumstances.
4. Cancellation by Stuart Toogood
In the unlikely event that Stuart is unable to perform due to illness, injury or genuine emergency, he will give as much notice as possible and will refund the full deposit and any balance paid. He will also endeavour to recommend a suitable alternative performer.
5. Performance
Stuart will arrive at the venue with sufficient time to set up and perform a sound check before guests arrive. He will bring all necessary equipment including PA system, speakers and cables. He requires a safe, weatherproof location with access to a mains power socket within reasonable distance.
6. Repertoire and song requests
Stuart will discuss song choices with you in advance. He will make every reasonable effort to learn specific songs requested for the ceremony. Requests for the drinks reception or wedding breakfast will be accommodated wherever possible within his existing repertoire.
7. Liability
Stuart carries full public liability insurance. He accepts no liability for matters outside his reasonable control, including extreme weather, venue access issues, or equipment failure caused by third-party power or venue facilities.
8. Privacy
Personal information provided as part of your booking is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
