Over 20 years performing at weddings across Worcestershire and the Midlands.
First of all, congratulations on your engagement.
If you're seeking wedding music, you're already thinking about how your day will feel, not just how it will look. Live acoustic guitar music can completely transform a wedding by creating warmth, atmosphere, and a genuinely personal touch. My performances are tailored to each couple, making the music feel uniquely yours rather than just background sound from a venue speaker system.
I'm Stuart Toogood, and I've been a professional wedding guitarist for over 20 years. Based in Worcestershire, I perform at weddings and celebrations across the West Midlands, Herefordshire, Warwickshire, and Gloucestershire. My goal is always the same: to create beautiful moments through music.
I provide live acoustic guitar music during the most meaningful parts of your wedding, complementing each moment.
As your guests arrive, as you walk down the aisle, during the signing of the register, and as you leave as newlyweds - live guitar makes each moment feel real and lasting.
Ceremony musicRelaxed, familiar songs while your guests mingle, chat, and enjoy the atmosphere. I can play indoors or outside while photos are taken - whatever works best for your day.
Drinks receptionBackground acoustic music at its best - beautiful, familiar, and just right. A mix of slow, medium, and upbeat songs designed to enhance the room, not distract from it.
Wedding breakfastThere's no fixed formula. I'm always happy to tailor the music to your wedding - a combination of any of the above, whatever works best for your day.
I play recognisable, well-loved songs - The Beatles and classic love songs through to Ed Sheeran, modern favourites, and even Disney. The music is always relaxed and designed to enhance, not distract.
Guests can talk, laugh, and enjoy themselves, and you won't miss out while taking photos. There is a mixture of slow, medium, and faster-paced songs. This is background acoustic music at its best: beautiful, familiar, and just right for your day.
After years of playing in bands, I wanted something different - something more meaningful. I noticed that very few musicians were offering contemporary, relaxed acoustic music for weddings: music that's custom-selected, not overly classical, and never generic.
Weddings quickly became my focus, and I genuinely love them. It's a privilege to be part of one of the most important days of someone's life. I get to know couples beforehand, build a connection, and help create moments that will be remembered forever. Everyone's dressed up, emotions are high, and there's so much happiness in the room.
I enjoy every part of the day - the ceremony, the drinks reception, and the wedding breakfast - but there's one moment that always stands out: playing a bride down the aisle.
Knowing that this is her moment, surrounded by the people she loves, and that the music I'm playing will be part of that memory forever. There's nothing quite like it. That feeling is why I've dedicated my career to weddings, and it never gets old.
"Stuart is AMAZING. He took the time to get to know us, made our day a dream, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The bride's entrance was magical. Highly, highly recommend!"

Over the years, I've performed at around 450 weddings across Worcestershire and the surrounding counties. I regularly perform at Curradine Barns, Crumplebury, Hogarths Stone Manor, Hogarths Solihull, Grafton Manor, Nailcote Hall, Arley House and Gardens, Ettington Park Hotel, Gorcott Hall, and Blackwell Grange.
Knowing venues well means I already understand where to set up, how the day flows, when to move and when to pause, and how to work seamlessly with registrars, celebrants, coordinators, and photographers.
I arrive around 90 minutes before the ceremony, giving plenty of time to set up calmly and discreetly. I use multiple speakers where needed so music flows smoothly across different areas without constant packing up and moving equipment. You don't need to think about the music - it's simply taken care of.
Many couples visit me at home before the wedding to listen to options and choose their ceremony music. We'll sit down, go through ideas, and you'll leave feeling confident about the songs you've chosen. It makes the whole experience feel much more personal.
I'm happy to learn special songs for key moments, adapt arrangements as needed, and offer honest advice on timing. I quietly adapt throughout - lowering the volume during group photos or key announcements, for example.
After the wedding, I send couples a digital album of every song I played that day - a small keepsake and permanent record of the music from their day. Many couples have told me it means more than they expected.
I'm married to Lucy, and we've been together for 29 years. We have two sons - Josh, who is a senior ecologist, and Dan, who is training to be a primary school teacher. We live in Worcestershire, which is the county I know best and where most of my weddings take place.
The Beatles were the reason I started playing guitar - I still think they are the greatest band that ever existed, and I was fortunate enough to meet Paul McCartney. As well as wedding work, I write and record songs, which keeps my playing fresh and inspired.
Every wedding is a privilege to play at, and I'm genuinely honoured to be part of your day. If you have any questions at all, I'd love to hear from you. - Stuart
